Professional Shop Electrical Meter Upgrade Services
An electrical meter measures the electricity consumed by a premises or designated electrical installation. Depending on the building arrangement, a shop may have an individual meter, a sub-meter, or a metering system managed through the building’s electrical infrastructure.

When Does a Shop Need a Meter Upgrade?
Several situations may lead a shop owner or property manager to consider an electrical meter upgrade.

Shop renovation: Major renovation work may require changes to the electrical installation or metering arrangement.

Business expansion: Additional equipment or changes in business operations may require an assessment of electrical capacity.

Outdated metering equipment: Older or defective equipment may need replacement where appropriate.

Electrical system modifications: Changes to distribution boards, electrical circuits, or the shop’s supply arrangement may require related metering work.

Metering or billing concerns: Unusual readings or suspected meter problems may require investigation by the responsible electricity provider or an authorised professional.

A meter upgrade should not be assumed to increase the electrical supply capacity automatically. Metering equipment and the available supply capacity are separate considerations and must be assessed independently.
